Why the devil should I join.
Well. You may not notice but PTPM is full of life every single moment you think it is asleep. Or dead. Like a zombie. At least twelve real people you know are on IRC every day. Even Spark! There are up to five conversations a day, so join in!
Also international events like UEFA, FIFA and the Eurovision Song Contest receive special attention by some of the people in our channel. Football talk. Sports. Alcohol. Anything!

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: you know when "shit" is going "down". Like ultra special secret betas of PTPM and an IRC echo channel that shows the ingame chat of the PTPM server, so you can CHAT while you CHAT. Obviously you can also see how many players are online. Awesome, right?!

What und how
The best option is using an IRC program. You start it up after logging in and then you leave it open until you go to sleep again. Just check the window every once in a while to see if something's going on. Or open the window yourself and say something and wait up to ten minutes for someone to reply! IRC isn't the same as MSN and whatnot. The chatting window doesn't hop around and sounds won't break up what you are doing. It's ideal! Work, school, GAMES everything can be combined with IRC!
